Company History
Abdel Massih Real Estate Management was founded by Chehade Abdel Massih in Beirut, Lebanon in 1950. The first offices were in the historic Gemmayzeh street. The boutique asset management firm was acting as a trusted advisor for a multitude of clients located in Lebanon and worldwide. Soon enough, in addition to the regular real estate brokerage operations, the Abdel Massih company added a construction subdivision to its business.
The first residential project was launched in Boushrieh, a North-Eastern suburb of Beirut city, where the Abdel Massih home-base moved to in the 1970s.Multiple successful projects in the area helped shape what today is known as the Jdeideh – Boushrieh – Sid district. Over the years, this location became highly desirable for both residential and commercial clients.
With the beginning of the 1975 war, Beirut witnessed an exodus of projects towards the more peaceful outskirts of the Lebanese capital. That same year Architect Charbel Abdel Massih, son of the founder, joined the company and started expanding its operations. In addition to the Real Estate and Asset Management business, Abdel Massih became a consulting and developing company, designing and implementing hundreds of thousands of square meters.
In the early 1990's the company settled in Centre Abdel Massih in Boushrieh and launched multiple projects, primarily in Naccache, Ain Saadeh and Roumieh meeting the high demand for residential properties. During that period, bank loans and mortgages were still not popular, Abdel Massih offered in-house mortgages for its clients, with maturities reaching 20 years.
In 2005 the family-owned business welcomed Architect Chehade Abdel Massih, representing the third generation of Real Estate developers at the company. Chehade’s commitment to our strategic plan and objectives brings tremendous value to the company. With our expansion over the years, we have pledged that we will keep building on our commitments to our diversified client-base while evolving and leading the Lebanese market with our innovative and solution focused concepts.
